Sharing the joy of being an author to kids

What an amazing day I had on 3/14/25 with a good friend Allison VanPatten and their 2nd graders (7 classes) of Northview Elementary. this was the first event I did where I not only read to students but I would also teach students the basic footprint of being authors. I supplied each student with a notebook and a pencil and together we started their creations of THEIR own books. The kids truly had some amazing insights and questions during my presentation and was is so fun to see their creative minds at work. Thank you Allison for inviting me to your school to pilot this new event type and allowing me to share my books with the 2nd graders. I can truly tell that by the questions and insights they, that you and your fellow teachers are doing a AMAZING JOB with their education. They are so blessed to have all of you as teachers.
